Raul Gonzalez, President (he/him/his)

Hailing from Dallas, Texas, Raul Gonzalez, Jr. is a relative newcomer to Saint Louis, living in South City (Mount Pleasant) since July. Having come to Saint Louis fresh off his undergraduate studies— studying History, Political Science, and Pre-Law at Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas before. Early in his time in Saint Louis, he had the opportunity to appear at events hosted by the Young Democrats, feeling relieved to see people near his age taking an interest in the world they inherited. Raul hopes to combine his academic and worldly knowledge together, making legitimate effective change for those towards the bottom of the socioeconomic ladder with the help and support of the individuals he’s galvanized.

Christian Bishop, Vice President (he/they)

Christian is a born and raised St. Louisan! He is focused on build progressive equitable policy and government in our city, state, and country. He is now a legislative assistant with the St. Louis Board of Alderman, and has a strong interest in infrastructure policy, tenants rights, and how our City can do more for climate change.

Tashara Earl, Outreach Director (she/her/hers)

Tashara is the Founder & CEO of Shades of Color, as well as the Co-Founder & President of Techrein. She has her Master's and MBA from Webster University, and serves as the President of the Revitalization of Baden Association, is a Delta, and is a previous candidate for alderperson of the 12th ward. On top of her business acumen and community service, Tashara is also a talented DJ!

Vineet Chauhan, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Director (they/them/theirs)

Vineet (they/them) is a St. Louis native, and graduated from the University of Southern California with honors with a degree in English Literature and a minor in International Relations. They worked in nonprofit fundraising in D.C. before working in HR at The Atlantic, and are currently working in healthcare marketing. They also have a part-time job at Vintage Vinyl and love talking music.

AJ Hessburg, Treasurer (they/them/theirs)

A.J. Hessburg is an Associate at Meyers Okohson Political Consulting, where they have worked since 2018, campaigning for candidates including Mayor Tishaura Jones and Hon. Trish Gunby. They graduated this year from Butler University with degrees in Political Science and International Relations, where they also participated in Model UN, Speech & Debate, and was a Transatlantic Fellow to the European Union. They are also a graduate of LeadMO. A St. Louis native, A.J. lives in Tower Grove East and enjoys hiking with their chocolate lab Zeke.

 
 

Tim Beiter, Membership Director (he/him/his)

Born and raised in Oakville, in south Saint Louis County, I have always been interested in making the world around me a better place. I have always wanted to do my part to alleviate suffering for the most vulnerable in our society. Last December, I graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a bachelors degree in political science and a minor in business management.
