St. Louis Young Democrats Announce Candidate Endorsements
The St. Louis Young Democrats are proud to announce candidate endorsements in races for city, county, state, and federal offices. Following a well attended public candidate forum, members of the St. Louis Young Democrats voted on candidates who completed our endorsement questionnaire. For each race, “Do Not Endorse” was also an option. In two particular races — U.S. House of Representatives, District 1, and Missouri State House of Representatives, District 87 — no candidate received at least 50% of the vote in the first round, and a subsequent runoff election was held between the top two vote-getters.
“Throughout this endorsement process, the St. Louis Young Democrats have provided opportunities for our members and the general public to engage with candidates. I’m excited about the great slate of people we’ve endorsed and looking forward to working to elect them in August and November,” said Shayn Prapaisilp, president of the St. Louis Young Democrats.
