Proposed changes to Young Dems Bylaws (previously emailed to members)
Following the meeting, the St. Louis Young Democrats will vote to endorse on the Prop P ballot initiative, and the CleanMO, Audit STL, and Statewide Minimum Wage petitions. Members will also vote to endorse a candidate for the 2nd Ward Alderman Special Election taking place November 7, 2017. The Democratic Central Committee has nominated Lisa Middlebrook as the Democratic Candidate in the race. Since there are is not a Democratic Primary in a Special Election, we invite Independent Candidates who identify as Democrats to seek endorsement, in addition to the Democratic Candidate, in this case Jasmine Turnage.
Members that were in good standing by October 1, 2017 will have the opportunity to vote using an electronic ballot that will be emailed Wednesday, November 1st and will close at 11:59 pm on Tuesday, November 2nd. (Not a member? Pay dues here!)
