Young Democrats of Greater St. Louis

A Message from Party Chairman, John Temporiti re: The Jefferson Jackson Dinner relocation.

John TemporitiDear Friends,

As Democrats, we take pride in our commitment to working families. When workers are standing up for their rights, we’re standing right there with them.

So as a show of respect for the union workers currently engaged in a labor dispute at America’s Center in St. Louis, the Missouri Democratic Party has made the decision to change the location of its annual Jefferson-Jackson Dinner.

The Jefferson-Jackson Dinner will now be held at the Renaissance Grand Hotel in St. Louis. The date (April 5) and the time (5:00PM reception/6:30PM dinner) will remain the same.

We apologize for any inconvenience the change may cause, but we will never waver in our commitment to Missouri’s working men and women.

If you haven’t yet reserved you’re ticket, it’s not too late. Please see the updated invitation below.

Welcome Young Democrats!

Welcome to the redesigned website of the Young Democrats of Greater St. Louis, ready for the Election Year.

We have a lot planned this cycle, so make sure you check back here often, we’ll have something new going on almost every week!

This year will be one for the history books! Democrats will make extraordinary gains in both the US House and Senate, the Governors Mansion and in state house races all over Missouri, and the Young Democrats will be there to do whatever we can to help our city, our state and our nation back on the right track!

This is way we have planned a big year for our organization. Here are some of the things we can look forward to this year:

  1. JOBS: Later this year we are going to debut our Job Bank. This exciting resource will not only have political jobs, like campaigns and with elected office holders – but corporate, not for profit and temporary positions- during the election year and after!
  2. TRAININGS: We are only as good as our weakest staff member. We want to make sure that not only do our members know what to do on campaigns, but they know how to WIN campaigns.
  3. OPPORTUNITIES: With our discussion group, list serv and interactive blog members will be able to share opportunities to meet candidates and participate in events.
  4. FINANCIAL PLANNING: Struggled to pay the bills after the campaign cycle? Work with us and we’ll show you how to set aside funds for after the election is over. Also we’ll hold work shops and have useful information on how to prepare your taxes and what you need to do to save the most for when you need it.

I am excited to be here at this new age for Campaign Professionals and look forward to working with all the capable members that we have to ensure a BLUE majority this November.
