Monday at Schafly Bottle works to toast Senator McCaskill
Thursday at Moolah Shrine Movie Theatre to watch acceptance speech of Sen. Barack Obama.

The Young Democrats of Greater St. Louis will host two Convention watch parties during the Democratic Parties convention in Denver.
The first will held on Monday August 25th at the Schafly Bottleworks in Maplewood to toast Sen. Claire McCaskill as she gives her keynote speech to the convention. Prior to the event the Young Democrats will host their August membership meeting.
The second will be held at the Moolah Theater in St. Louis ( address) to watch the acceptance speech of Sen. Barack Obama on the large movie screen. Members of the Missouri delegation will be broadcast into the event via live video feed.
“These events will be our St. Louis version of the Convention!” says Martin Casas, President of the Young Democrats of Greater St. Lois, “ we want to recreate the same level of excitement here in St. Louis as they have in Denver. Judging by the excitement people are having in Missouri to our next President, I’m betting this is going to be a huge event!”

The Young Democrats of Greater St. Louis are looking for 15 players to fill out our roster for the 2008 Young Dems Vs The Young Republicans “Father’s Day, Take A Chance, Cool Down St. Louis” Sofball Game.
To play you need to contribute the minimum donation to Cool Down St. Louis of $20, or have a elected official sponsor you.
By donating you become eligible for one of several door prize drawings, courtesy of Emmis Communications and the Pasta House Co. First prize is one HP laptop, second prize – A KSHE Blues Party for Ten; third prize – $250 cash or gift certificate, fourth prize one – 100.00 Pasta House Co. gift certificate, and fifth prize is a $50 Pasta House Co. gift certificate.Missouri Lt. Governor
Peter Kinder, and St. Louis County Executive Charlie Dooley are serving as the honorary “Club Owners,” and Richard Mark, senior vice president of Missouri Delivery Service for AmerenUE is the honorary club president. AmerenUE made a special $5,000 donation as a club president sponsor.
